David Lang infuses talent and creativity into his work as the Keyboard Artist for the Master Chorale. Mr. Lang toured Italy and France with his choirs and soon became a featured performer at stateside conventions for the American Choral Directors Association, Music Educators National Conference, and National Pastoral Musicians.

Honored with numerous awards throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Lang performs with our vibrant choral group while serving as the Director of Music and Master of the Choristers for St. John the Beloved Catholic Church in McLean. Additionally, he works as the premier Keyboard Artist for St. Albans School, the National Cathedral School, and George Mason University.

A native of North Carolina, Mr. Lang received his B.M in choral music education and sacred music from Appalachian State University. In his pursuit of an M.M. in organ performance from the University of Lousiville, he studied under such keyboard luminaries as H. Max Smith, Marilyn Keiser, Melvin Dickinson and Bruce Neswick.

Prior to his arrival in Washington, DC Mr. Lang was Director of Music for the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption in Louisville, KY from 1983-2000. During this same 17 year period he also served as the Choral Conductor for The Louisville Youth Choir and a Professor of Organ for Bellarmine University.
