meet the chorale
The Master Chorale’s roster is comprised of 130 brilliant and devoted choristers. We are a superb blend of volunteer and professional singers who coalesce from all walks of life. A wide and exciting assortment of occupations, cultural backgrounds, ages, musical training and experience is represented in our intimate and talented group.
Numerous singers hold music degrees, study privately with vocal instructors, and maintain active schedules as soloists, church musicians and educators in the Washington, DC area. As a cohesive group, we strive for extraordinary levels of musicianship and share a loyalty and commitment to excellence in the arts community. We are determined to inspire our audiences in a meaningful way through each musical performance.
Our dedicated singers complete weekly assignments to learn text, notes and rhythms so that rehearsal time can explore the meaning of the music at its very core. This insight is crucial in our journey to shatter expectations, to express our deepest thoughts and to connect with the audience in a passionate and meaningful way.
