Dear Potential Master Chorale Singer,
Each season the Master Chorale of Washington performs a series of highly acclaimed concerts at the Kennedy Center with a commitment to inspire our audience. If you sing with us you’ll find that we are serious about that commitment! And that’s what makes singing with the Master Chorale so invigorating and fulfilling. In rehearsal, we don’t become bogged down in learning notes – rather our time is spent interpreting the music – discovering what lies beneath the notes on the page, and polishing the music until it speaks with immediacy to us and ultimately our audience.
You’ll also discover that I am personally committed to the growth of every singer in the Master Chorale. As a new singer, not only will you experience rehearsals in a fresh, new way, but you’ll also enjoy the benefits of an improved vocal technique as you regularly engage in the extensive vocal warm-ups and mini-vocal workshops that are a regular part of the Master Chorale’s preparation.
