A telehandler 360 slew offers the versatility of a crane, work platform and fork lift in one. These machines rotate in complete circles to access hard-to-reach spaces whilst still having a powerful lifting capability. This gives your operators true control over their work and helps them complete jobs efficiently, on a variety of terrains. Ardent Hire have a number of Manitou MRT rotating telehandlers to choose from, which all boast a full 360-degree rotation and impressive load heights.
The CPCS A77 Telehandler 360 Slew foundation course is a five day training programme that provides novice and intermediate operators with the underpinning knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to operate a telehandler forklift with a 360-degree slewing capacity on construction sites safely. The course replaces the previous category A17D Telescopic Handler All Sizes inc 360 Slew, and is designed to help delegates progress from their current Red (Trained Operator) CPCS card onto the new Blue (Competent Operator) CPCS card.
Mastering the 360 Slew: Telehandler Techniques and Safety
The CPCS A77 theory test includes the majority of questions from the telehandler and suspended load tests, but with some 101 questions added in too. The CPCS A77 practical test, on the other hand, is a hybrid of the standard telehandler and the A17e test for the suspended load – and is one of the largest of its kind to date. The new test will be used by both existing telehandler and A17e holders, as well as those who are completing the new CPCS A77 qualification.
